Our journey around the world

Ningaloo Marine Park

The high temperatures and the anticipation to go snorkelling led us to Exmouth. This city is a good starting point to visit the Ningaloo Marine Park and the Cape Range National Park. The next morning we took off to visit the two parks. We drove along the stunning coast down to the visitor centre, to get snorkelling gears. We stayed in a lovely campsite near to the Lakeside Beach, that’s inside the park. After our arrival we went snorkelling at a beautiful reef just a few meters out from the beach.

Thanks to the strong winds the temperatures were really agreeable, but the sea was quite rough. In the dusk we saw a lot of local wildlife. We were lucky to see a breathtaking sunset and even more beautiful moonrise.

The day afterwards we got up early and went to the Turquoise Bay to snorkel again. After that we followed the eye-catching coastline down to the Yardie Creek. The next night we spent once more in Exmouth and we really enjoyed having a shower.
