Der vierte Morgen hat uns jetzt doch noch einen Sonnenaufgang am Ayers Rock beschert. Es war super schön. Für den Sonnenaufgang kommen wir ein anderes Mal vorbei. ;-) Zudem haben wir auch die Olgas mal noch bei Sonne gesehen.
Unsere Reise geht jetzt weiter über den Kings Canyon zurück nach Alice Springs. Anschliessend geht es über die Tanami Road durch die Wüste Richtung Broome.
Finally we got our sunrise at Ayers Rock, it was beautiful. What sunset concerns, we need to come back another time. We were also lucky to see the Olgas in the sunshine.
Our trip continues via Kings Canyon back to Alice Springs. Afterwards we cross the dessert on the Tanami Road heading Broome.
Wir sind etwas verwirrt. Anstelle der vorausgesagten Hitze und dem roten Sand, haben wir einen grünen Fleck Erde und viel Regen entdeckt. Sind wir irgendwo falsch abgebogen? Na ja, auch die Angestellten sind über den andauernden Regen erstaunt. Die Landschaft offenbart uns aber gerade dank dem Regen ganz andere Reize, als es die meisten gewohnt sind.
Die obligatorischen Fotos der Sonnenaufgänge bzw. -untergänge sind durch das gegebene Wetter buchstäblich ins Wasser gefallen. Wir haben uns darum entschieden einen Tag länger zu bleiben und hoffen auf die vorhergesagte Wetterbesserung. Da die Sonne aber nicht so oft scheint waren unsere Wanderungen im Nationalpark ‚Uluru – Kata Tjuta’ umso angenehmer. Auch die viel zitierten Fliegen halten sich vornehm zurück, denen ist es wohl auch zu nass.
We are a little bit confused. We heard about the heat and the red sand, but everything is green and it rains a lot. Did we take the wrong way? Anyway, somebody of the staff told us, that he never saw such a lot of rain in summer. The landscape reveals itself different than most of the people know it.
The obligatory sunrise and sunset pictures are really difficult to take; there are just too many clouds. Because of the good weather forecast we decided to stay one night longer. The current weather has also its advantages. The temperatures are really cosy and there aren’t a lot of flies.
